Well you have plenty of choices for your Irish wedding ring not just in style but in metal as well.

Silver is a very soft white metal that can be used as a wedding ring. Silver is a little more difficult to maintain. Silver is the least expensive of the metals so it is a great choice for the budget conscious couple.

Gold is the most popular of the metals for Wedding Rings because of gold’s durability and incredibly long lasting value. Gold resists tarnish and is pleasing to the eye. Gold is available in colors the most popular is yellow and white though rose gold has gained popularity in recent years. The different colors of gold depend on which other metals the gold is mixed with.

To be considered solid gold, your ring must be at least 10K or marked 417 indicating 41.7% gold, 14K is marked 585 for 58.5% gold, 18K or marked 750 indicating 75% gold. Color varies with 18K being the brightest.

Platinum is the most precious of the metals. It is durable, hard and wins the longevity prize. Platinum wedding rings are also easy to maintain. Platinum is rare and can be much more expensive than gold.
